DATA CAPTURE TECHNICIAN – Gas Utilities - West London

You will be joining a well known Utilities Contractor involved in a number of projects throughout London and the South East.  Most of the work involves replacement of piping systems from the main trunk pipes through to house connections.

You will be responsible for ensuring visual surveys are carried out on existing and new gas mains being replaced by the operational teams throughout the project area and produce drawings of the survey. Responsible for ensuring records for completed projects are accurate, complete and returned to the Data Capture team within appropriate deadlines.

The successful candidate will need to be able to:

- Draw to scale using a ruler or set square and understand map symbols,

- PC skills using word, excel and outlook,

- Good communication skills,

- Excellent time management in order to meet tight deadlines,

- Ability to work efficiently alone and as part of a team,

- Knowledge of CAD will be a distinct advantage.
