- Description
- A well-established and highly regarded and reputed high end residential refurbishment contractor are currently looking for a maintenance surveyor / small works manager to join the team.
Details of the Role are as follows:
• Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise directly with clients, professional team, sub-contractors, etc., and our own team as required.
• Attend sites, predominantly within central London, prepare site surveys and reports and where necessary produce schedule of works for pricing.
• Property fault finding / methodical investigative skills to understand and to trace causes of faults and propose suitable solutions to resolve same.
• To prepare and complete small works Tenders or Estimates for the works required.
• To precure materials, issue works orders, manage works, Labour and Health & Safety on sites to ensure works are completed in time, within budget and to the high standard required.
• Able to identify variations in works from the agreed pricing document, price same and notify all concerned.
• Provide periodic progress reports, as required by the client/ client team for the works.
• Be able to produce Monthly Valuations where needed and Final accounts / invoices for the works completed.
• Ensure quality control through to completion and any end of defects/snagging’s is properly executed and managed.
• Be responsible for ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards of health and safety practice in accordance with statue, the companies health and safety policy and the project safety requirements.
• Liaise and communicate with maintenance manager and maintenance team.
• Act as main contact when dealing with technical matters to sub-contract.
• Co-ordinate with team, group company teams and subcontractors to ensure all installation and works have been carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations, and highest quality of work upheld.
• Attention to detail is paramount.
• The ability to work alone as well as being part of a team, liaising with other Group company.
• Managing own time between office and site visits as necessary.
