- Description
- This traditional main contractor is looking for a Contracts Manager to oversee and ensurethe successful delivery of projects.
With a turnover in excess of £50M; its core business is the delivery of construction projects ranging in size from £100K - £5M including both refurbishment and new build.
They carryout projects in all sectors of the market, the largest proportion being in education and local authority; it also has a strong continuing presence in commercial, private residential, health, sports and leisure.
Whilst the company has considerable experience and history, it is a forward thinking company that strives for perpetual improvement through both innovation and refinement. It is delivery focused and recognises the value that successful project delivery brings.
They are looking for a Contracts Manager who is experienced at looking after three to four projects at a time of varying values and complexities.
A stable track record and relevant new build construction experience combined with the ability to commence and complete contracts in a profitable and timely manner is required.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure that all Company Procedures are implemented and monitored
- Maintain excellent Health & Safety standards
- Take overall responsibility for constructing the projects to a high standard while maintaining programme and financial requirements
- To effectively manage the project team
- To be the key contact with our Clients and Design Teams
- To promote the Company and its image
Key Tasks and Activities
- To maximise the financial return of the project and ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with the Company Health & Safety procedures.
- To effectively manage risks & opportunities
- To ensure that the project is finished on time to the required standard while maintaining the projected margin
- To ensure we maintain full cooperation and support from our supply chain
- To ensure all statutory duties are fulfilled
- Ensure all documentation is available at the completion of a project and successfully hand them over to both our Client and Customer Care team
- Manage all correspondence with the Client, designers and supply chain
- Manage & monitor Contract & Target Programmes
- To assist and develop your support staff

- Experience in managing multiple contracts
- The ability to be an effective team leader on all of their projects
