- Description
- As a Quantity Surveyor you will be part of a leading partitioning specialist and drywall specialists. In the fast track industry of fit-out, they pride themselves in offering a quality service.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful Quantity Surveyor will have responsibility for all commercial aspects on a number of projects particularly income and expenditure to maximise profit margins and monitor budgets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of project budgets, checking projects contracts, administering projects Contracts.
- Measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances.
- Preparation of tender documents for any sub contract works and specialist suppliers.
- Ensure an awareness of key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions with the client. Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention monies are released when due.
- Prepare and discuss the final account for projects. Negotiate and agree final accounts.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor at intermediate or Senior level.
- Able to deal well with people at all levels including clients as well as suppliers.
- Knowledge or experience of Fit-outs, refurbishments and have dealt with Partitioning
- Background of Façade, glazing, Dry Lining, metal work, roofing/cladding, joinery or any similar specialist sub-contractor industry background would be preferable.
- Experience working within the Fast Track Fit Out Industry
