- Description
- Our client is a highly successful International Sub Contractor, specialising in the delivery of exterior stone packages. Due to continued success and expansion they are on the lookout for an Project Manager to join their Exterior Works Division in New York City.
The company’s portfolio of projects includes casinos, luxury hotels, high end residential and commercial buildings
Your responsibilities will include, although not limited to the following:
- Project planning and scheduling
- Engineering, shop drawing and detailing coordination
- Logistic and resource management
- Coordination with field operation and resource planning
- Preparation of project control reports.
- Assist with establishing a start and end date, commensurate with the contract
- Coordinate construction team and record progress of work
- Assist in highlighting items or components on critical path, and prepare and submit status to management.
- Establish and define any job oriented project control procedures and identify the level of resources required to operate them.
- Establish and communicate cost and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
- Experience with extension of time claims is a basic requirement.
- Experience with cost management, change order, project close outs.
The ideal candidate will have- Bachelor Degree is Construction, Project Management, Architecture or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years project or construction management experience.
- Exterior stone experience is advantageous.
- The aptitude to drive projects to completion is required with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and MS project or comparable.
- Must have legal rights to work in the USA.
