- Description
- A medium sized contractor is now seeking to recruit a Design Manager to strengthen their existing team.
From a main contracting background, you will have demonstrable experience in the co-ordination of projects up to £5m in value in either the education, commercial, retail and leisure sectors.
Key Roles will be:
- Monitoring of design & resolution of technical queries
- Ensure design is received on time for procurement & construction
- Distribution of design information
- Ensure proper records maintained
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Checking design against Contractors Proposals
- Control of drawings & design logs
- Distribution of drawings & design info
- Monitoring of design programmes
- Sub-contract design control & co-ordination
- Distribution of info for Client approvals
- Lead BREEAM input & discharge obligations
- Monitor Planning and Building Control discharge
- Monitor RFI flow & ensure technical queries resolved
- Input into VE and design change
- Monitor design changes and change control
- Ensure ‘as-builts’ & product information available for O&M’s
