- Our client has a global portfolio that has been established through strong working relationships with many of the world’s leading brands and organisations along with high profile private clients.
They are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their London consultancy team. They will undertake all aspects of project management from inception through to handover and aftercare across a variety of sectors.
Responsibilities
• Assist in establishing the client’s brief and expectations against time, cost, exposure and quality.
• Establish the roles and responsibilities of team members and advise on appointments of other consultants as necessary.
• Establish and define the degree of client involvement as well as the channels of communication between them and the project team.
• Produce all relevant project programmes, highlighting the events required to meet both contract and commencement dates.
• Ensure all drawings, specifications and actions are produced and distributed within the confines of the agreed working programme, and monitor performance of the design team against the same.
• Recommend the builder and specialist sub-contractors, as well as form of contract.
• Monitor the design development (and assist where necessary) to ensure that the client regularly signs-off both design and budget.
• Produce project progress reports, future actions required to meet post contract obligations and minimize risk to the contractors’ programme.
• Manage the project team and liaise closely with all parties to ensure a successful outcome of the project.
• Monitor costs during the works to ensure these are in line with cost plan, and ensure regular financial reports are issued.
• Liaise with client’s own installation of IT, audio visual equipment, and other works where applicable.
• Ensure the building is fit for occupancy prior to the client taking occupation and help organise operations as necessary.
• Co-ordinate, direct and inspect all construction works in conjunction with the design team.
• Undertake the snagging process with the design team where necessary.
• Administer the building contract, confirming necessary variations to the client etc.
• Monitor the progress of on-site works (and off-site fabrication) against programme and take alternative actions when shortfalls are perceived / identified.
• Conduct, chair and minute all project meetings as necessary.
• Monitor the works during the defects period and inspect with design team at the end of the same.
• Maintain a good relationship with existing and new clients.
• Assist in business development across the company.
What They Are Looking For In You
A proven track record in project management for a project management consultancy, multidisciplinary consultancy. Minimum of five years’ PQE direct relevant experience or 8 years in a relevant role. Attention to detail, great people skills and a “can-do” attitude. Technical skills must include Microsoft office programmes and, ideally, MS Project. RICS qualification ideal but not necessary.
