Description
A well-known construction and joinery company are currently looking for a CAD Draughtsman to join their team in the West Midlands.

Typical responsibilities:-
  • Produce 3D models and working drawings from designer produced drawings.
  • Production of manufacturing drawing packs for in house framing and joinery shops.
  • Liaising with clients and external contractors.
  • Support directors with Research and Development of new products and designs.
  • Assistance with the management of an existing and growing standard library of details.
  • Able to self-manage time and workflow through a central database.
  • Communication with several departments.
 
Experience and Requirements:-
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of 3D modelling software (in house training for timber specific software provided)
  • Experience with using Dietrich’s is desired but not essential. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
 
The role would be ideally suited to someone from a similar position within the construction industry and offsite manufacture with construction/carpentry knowledge. Full training will be provided for all applicants due to the company’s unique method of construction.

  • Be able to work well in a team.
  • Be able to work across the board on small to larger scale projects.
  • Good interpersonal skills & communication are essential.
  • Competence in speaking and dealing directly with clients, engineers and architects.
  • Confidence to oversee multiple projects.
  • Team member attitude, willing and able to provide assistance when required.
  • Ability to perform and produce drawings to definite timescale.
  • Understanding of structural engineering principles.
 
Working hours between 8:30am – 17:00am, Monday to Friday.
