Description
Our client is a successful private and independent construction contractor operating within London and the South East. They are a business committed to providing a first class, professional service to their clients.
 
They are currently seeking to recruit; a Senior Materials Buyer or Materials Buyer seeking advancement to join their centralised buying function.
 
Role and responsibilities
 
•           Material plant and waste management
•           Operating Markets– Social Housing, Education, Health, Leisure, Commercial, Fit Out,     Special Works
•           Contracts from £2k to £6m
•           Group direct and indirect spend on material plant etc. £8m+  
•           Managing the purchasing on individual mixed scale contracts r
•           Assisting anddeputising for the Purchasing Director with the management of our sustainable Supply Chain
•           Production and maintenance of cost/value reports
 
Potential candidates require a solid construction contracting purchasing background.
 
Working from home is an option.
