- Description
- The Contracts Manager is responsible for reviewing and considering legal aspects of contract award & administration. The projects are in the railway environment and include various measured term maintenance works and building refurbishments. Project values between £50k and £2m.
Responsibilities:
Provide regular project performance reports including a full monthly report
- Take responsibility for the management of multiple site teams
- Provide information for inclusion within tender submissions
- Understand and deliver contracts within the agreed contract conditions and timeframes
- Line management of Senior Site Managers and their site teams; monitoring
- performance, providing leadership, direction and guidance
- Provide pre construction and pre contract advice to ensure for the smooth running of site activities
- Daily liaison with client representatives.
- Prepare monthly profit/loss reports
- Prepare contract programmes for all works and keep client regularly updated with
- progress
Skills:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills in the railway environment
- Detailed Health and Safety knowledge of the railway environment
- Good at problem solving & decision-making
- Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations
- Full working knowledge on MS Office – particularly Excel.
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Full UK driving licence
