A family run business with a core team of persons who have been working for them for many years – are looking to continue their upward growth trajectory, and are looking for a Contracts Manager with considerable experience looking to progress their career and be part of a thriving business, with an exciting future.
The Contracts Manager is to manage all construction and minor works projects from start to finish, ensuring that works are completed on time, to our expected standards and within budget. They focus heavily on customer satisfaction, delivering on our promises and maintaining optimum profitability.
You will be working on a portfolio of projects predominantly involving the refurbishment, fit out or maintenance of existing clients’ buildings. Typical project values range between £5k and £1.5M, and are predominately across the Public Sector, Commercial and Industrial sectors.
Responsibility
Manage the delivery of multiple construction projects and minor works from start to finish as well as selected team operatives for each project. Ensuring all company procedures and policies are adhered to whilst implementing best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple projects across various sectors, maximizing profits for the company whilst ensuring the highest of standards in quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct site visits both for tendering purposes and management of projects.
- Aftercare management to sort any snag issues straight away
- Pricing works and preparing tender submissions for review, ranging across different value bands and work types.
- Implementing company policies and procedures
- Key stakeholder management
- Identifying potential issues and implementing risk management techniques
- Evaluate, procure and manage new and existing sub-contractors and suppliers during the whole life cycle of the project
- To bring new ideas to the company on how we can better improve
- To work with various departments of the business and have an ability to interact easily with others
- Work closely with the financial team for any projects under your control and provide live work updates
Required experience:
- Contract management: 10+ years (required)
- Construction: 10+ years
