- Description
- Our client operates within the new build social and development housing market and a currently looking for a Senior Site Manager to join one of their schemes.
The project is a £30M project with 4 reinforced concrete blocks. The position is to run 2 of the blocks with RC stage nearing completion and internals about to start and you will be reporting into a Senior Project Manager (SPM). The project team consist of a visiting Contracts Manager, QS & Technical Manager with an on-site team of 1No SPM , 1SSM ( this position ) 2No SMs and eventually 2 No Finishing foreman. There is approximately 20 months left to run on this scheme.
The Site Manager should possess experience of running a site anywhere from £10m with assistance on larger projects and have a history of completing projects on-time and within budget.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
- To manage all activities respective to his / her area of works including but not limited
- To Manage a team of finishing foremen to achieve the quality expected by the business
- To audit progress and ensure completion of all project elements within the construction
- To review and if necessary, influence the current design and buildability of the building
- To conduct regular progress meeting with the supply chain, produce and disseminate
- To promote and maintain good and professional relations with the client, consultants,
authorities.
- To work alongside the Project Manager to prepare short duration construction
- To regularly review subcontractors progress and identify appropriate action as ensure
- To maintain the reputation of the company for good quality of finish, positive action,
the image that the company desires to project all as set down in the company's
procedures for site presentation.
- To positively liaise and communicate with surveying, purchasing, design and resident
