Company Overview
 
Privately owned contractor. Project construction values generally range from £500k to £6m.
 
Role Overview
 
Working alongside the Directors to commercially manage the projects assigned.
Anticipated that the Senior QS would run a £6m new build high end residential project in Chelsea and a £3m high end residential new build in Highgate.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Maintain and build on relationships with current supply chain including project partners, design team members, sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Control of day-to-day commercial and contractual activities
  • Price any variations.
  • Liaise with design team to obtain information required for tender packages.
  • Procure sub-contractor / supplier packages in accordance with the Procurement Schedule ensuring maximum value is achieved.
  • Undertake comparisons of tender returns and provide proposal review / approval.
  • Prepare sub-contractor / supplier orders.
  • Undertake main and trade contract valuations.
  • Establish and set up commercial report for scheme and update monthly.
  • Attend project meetings, provide commercial and cost advice
  • Work closely with the management to ensure the project objectives are met.
  • Procurement of sub-contractors in accordance with schedule / within programme / budget.
  • Establishing scopes of work.
  • Prepare trade contract documents for approval.
  • Undertake Valuations of sub-contractor accounts and variations.
  • Payments and notifications - monthly / fortnightly as required.
