- Description
- As a Quantity Surveyor you will be part a leading dry lining, suspended ceiling, external render and facades subcontractor. This role will be site based working alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a £15m dry lining and suspended ceiling contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances.
- Preparation of tender documents for any sub contract works and specialist suppliers.
- Set budgets for, and raise payments, for subcontract labour; manage variations as they occur
- Ensure an awareness of their key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions with the client. Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention monies are released when due.
- Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor at intermediate level.
- Able to deal well with people at all levels within their client as well as suppliers.
- Knowledge or experience of fit-outs, refurbishments and have dealt with partitioning
- Background of façade, glazing, dry Lining, metal work, roofing/cladding, joinery or any similar specialist sub-contractor industry background would be preferable.
