A well-established ready-mix business in the UAE is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to lead its Dubai division. With decades of success, a strong project portfolio, and multiple state-of-the-art batching plants, this organisation plays a key role in delivering major infrastructure and construction projects across the region.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the ready-mix concrete operation, leading production, logistics, maintenance, quality, and operational teams to ensure the business consistently delivers outstanding results.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy ready-mix concrete plant.
• Manage production, dispatch, fleet logistics, maintenance, and operational teams.
• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality concrete to customers across multiple projects.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost control initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies across all areas of the business.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Work closely with commercial, technical, and project teams to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and mentor operational staff, creating a high-performing and accountable culture.
• Manage plant maintenance programmes to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
• Support strategic planning, budgeting, and operational growth initiatives.

Experience Required

• Significant operational management experience within the ready-mix concrete industry.
• Proven experience managing multiple batching plants and large operational teams.
• Strong understanding of concrete production, quality control, fleet logistics, and plant maintenance.
• Demonstrable experience improving operational performance, efficiency, and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Middle East experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Commercially aware with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
