- Description
- Our client, who has an excellent reputation within main contracting, is currently looking for a Buyer for initially a 6 month contract.
We are looking for a Buyer with similar experience in the construction industry. The candidate must have a can-do attitude and be able to hit the ground running.
Job description and requirements:
Efficiently manage all plant hire and material Purchase Orders placed with our agreed Supplier rates
Ability to negotiate with current and new suppliers for better rates
Bulk Order management for all Waste Removal requirements for each site
Management of all welfare equipment and PPE for each site
General building materials orders, for all requirements on structural, first & second fix “essential” materials
Conduct weekly site visits to all of the main projects in order to effectively manage higher order numbers
Daily liaison with each Project Surveyor before any orders are placed and effectively oversee budget requirements
Must have ability to read drawings in order to cross reference and check all quantities of materials prior to placing orders
