- Description
- Our Client is a well-known main contractor that operate globally. Following the award of a major project, they urgently require an ambitious Facade Engineer to help oversee the delivery of the facade element of the project which is a major £200 million building project in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
As a Façade Engineer, your key responsibilities are:
- assisting the facade manager to manage the relations with clients, technical consultancies, subcontractors and suppliers for the activities related to design and engineering aspects
- reviewing facade drawings and calculations produced by the subcontractor
- review method statements and construction solutions related to facade system
- monitor and record the progress of the planned design and construction activities, according to project’s deadline and requirements
- review site progress and prepare payment certificates of the subcontractor's works
- inspect site activities ensuring the quality of the works and verifying that the construction activities are compliant with specification and drawings
- preparing the technical specification for the request of quotations to subcontractors and engineering services, according to facade manager indications
- handling technical reviews and design details preparing the technical documentations to coordinate the external suppliers/subcontractors
- defining in accordance with the facade manager, the design, computations, methods and planning of construction activities throughout the entire execution phases of the project
- evaluating the feasibility and cost of possible project changes
- ensuring the design and construction activities process follows local legislation, health and safety regulations, quality procedures, standards and codes of practice
The skills you bring:
- bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering
- minimum 2 years experience in façade works
- good knowledge of design and engineering dedicated software such as AutoCad, BIM (Revit)
- good knowledge of MS Office Suite
- fluent in English
