- Description
- A highly regarded construction company involved in the delivery of world class projects in the UK and Internationally, is actively looking for an accomplished Procurement Manager with a high level of analytical, communication, co-ordination and organisational skill.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and issue enquiries, carry out quotation analysis and evaluation.
- Select and propose appropriate vendors.
- Conduct negotiations with Suppliers & Subcontractors (low and moderate value/risk), place orders .
- Compliance with corporate Supply Chain processes & procedures. Contribute to the implementation of project Supply Chain Strategies.
- Manage procurement against the Tender Event Schedule/Procurement Programme.
- Resolve problems between Suppliers, expedite quotes and deliveries.
- Liaise with stores/site team/suppliers.
- Prepare and present reports as required, achieve targets set by team.
- Monitor Supplier Performance and support the raising of the supplier performance.
A high level of responsibility will be given, therefore a conscientious and enthusiastic approach is essential. You will need to be assertive, self-motivated, outgoing and capable of advising solutions to logistical challenges.
Requirements:
- Suitably qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Strong experience working as a Procurement Manager with Tier 1 Main Contractors.
- Experience in the procurement of construction materials and sub-contracts to meet the programme of work is required together with a good understanding of the management structure and mode of operation of multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience working on commercial, hospitality and healthcare projects would be advantageous.
