- Description
- Our client a well respected sub contractor are looking to employ a full-time Junior / Assistant Estimator to join their Estimating Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to expand their knowledge further within the specialist refurbishment and conservation industry.
The ideal candidate will have achieved a degree and ideally a couple of years in the construction industry preferably in refurbishment / conservation.
Responsibilities:
Reading and understanding tender information
Preparing and sending out subcontractor and supplier enquiries
Organising subcontractor site visits and meeting them on site.
Assisting the estimators in reviewing the scope of works on site
Assist the estimators inputting labour, plant, materials and subcontract prices on to our estimating system.
Take off quantities from drawings and site dimensions and details.
Prepare tender stage programme of works.
Assist in quality submissions.
Essential:
Good computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience
You will be entitled to 22 days holiday rising with length of service, annual discretionary bonus and pension.
