Description
You will be joining a highly successful Property Development Company which has immense potential for expansion within the UK residential and commercial property market.
 
Purpose of Role:
 
To ensure that all the operational delivery aspects of a major high end development in Nine Elms, London are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the satisfaction of all direct and indirect clients.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Supervise both the community and Facilities Management companies
  • Work closely and monitor the Managing agent and the FM service provider
  • Take the lead on the service charge model and adjust it as necessary
  • To be in control of the Managing agent deliverables and necessary coordination with head Office
  • To help in regularly reviewing the facilities management scope
  • Overseeing, developing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving the company wide HSEQ system.
  • To provide professional advice to management on matters related to HSEQ.
  • To create in coordination with the Facilities Management company and the Managing agent a Crisis Management Plan and have it updated
  • To represent the developer on the Inventory and Not Handed Over Units and help customers in attending snags
 
Requirements:
 
  • Engineering degree or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil subjected to the expertise requirement of the assigned buildings). MBA is a plus.
  • NEBOSH and IOSH in H&S.
  • Over 5 years of management experience preferably within the Construction, Building Services or Facilities Management industries, out of which at least 2 years’ experience managing the delivery of complex high value high end contracts.  Additional experience as a Building Manager, Estate Manager, General Manager. Also experience with opening residential buildings together with handover.
  • Have good working knowledge of computerized maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) will be an added qualification.
  • Broad, in depth and practical experience of the building Facilities Management aspects with particular expertise in his/her own discipline. He/she will have experience of managing his/her own staff and working closely with suppliers/contractors monitoring their works for quality and overall value for money.
  • Highly motivated, flexible individual, with energy and drive having good planning and execution abilities. He/she will exercise an analytical, approach to problems and maintain an active interest in the changing works environment that will affect the assigned building or geographical operational area.
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Should be familiar with standards of regulatory bodies as applicable to operational buildings including IEE, ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA and other relevant authorities
  • Should be familiar with UK rules and regulations related to freehold buildings
  • Should have good working knowledge of common computer applications
  • Demonstrate good man-management and interpersonal skills
  • Accounting skills
