The Company:
 
Our client is a leading FM Service Provider operating in Oman. To maintain their enviable reputation and to help ensure the efficient delivery of one of the largest and high profile IFM Contracts in Oman, they are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to work out of their office in Muscat.
 
The Role:
 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team on one of our most prestigious contracts. Based in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, this position is client facing working as part of the on-site management team. This is an important role in the successful delivery of the contract requiring excellent interpersonal, management and communication skills.
 
Key Objectives:
 

The specific areas of accountability of the role are as follows:

 

  • Provide supply chain leadership and functional support, which is safe, reliable, ethical, and transparent. 
  • Manage a large, culturally diverse team of supply chain colleagues including stores & logistics functions.
  • Manage a significant annual external spend including budget forecast and contingency reporting.
  • Deliver supply chain related targets in line with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver procurement strategy & process aligned with client and business objectives.
  • Lead value management and value engineering exercises as appropriate to align with company objectives.
  • Drive innovation & supply chain improvement through introduction of technology.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationship and deliver exceptional customer service to the client.
  • Ownership of all procurement related systems including necessary modifications and upgrades.
  • Manage end to end tender process including negotiations and award for high value strategic packages.
  • Chair supply chain engagement meetings for key supply chain partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
  • Work closely with finance, commercial & operations teams to align with budgets, forecasts, and service delivery.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in line with company and client guidelines.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Minimum 10 years supply chain / procurement experience covering materials and subcontract
  • Experience working within the Facilities Management sector, ideally for a leading FM Service Provider.
  • Suitably qualified, ideally to degree level and a member of CIPS
  • Middle East experience would be an advantage, but is not required.
 
Benefits:
 
The package on offer is dependent on qualifications and experience, OMR 4,000– 5,000 NET per month (all in). To achieve this take home in the UK, you would need to earn in excess of £215,000 gross per annum.
