The company is a reputable building and maintenance company. With a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction, they specialize in providing a wide range of construction services, including new builds, renovations, and maintenance projects, to residential and commercial clients.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Contracts Manager, you will work closely with our Contracts Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in contract management and project coordination within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Contracts Manager in the management of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution and timely delivery of materials and resources.
Assist in the preparation and review of project contracts, specifications, and schedules, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.
Support the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports, and assist in the management of project budgets and expenditures.
Maintain accurate project documentation and records, including contract documents, change orders, and correspondence, in compliance with company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
