Description

Our client is a leading main contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality construction projects across industrial, commercial, and education sectors. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a meticulous and proactive Document Controller to join our team, with a particular focus on managing and compiling Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for project handovers.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing document control processes across multiple projects, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with project and contractual requirements. A key focus of the role will be the preparation, coordination, and submission of O&M manuals, ensuring timely delivery to clients in accordance with project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the collation, formatting, and issuing of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals for completed projects.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather required documentation (e.g., warranties, technical literature, certifications).
  • Ensure documentation complies with client and project-specific requirements, including health and safety files and as-built drawings.
  • Monitor document workflows and ensure adherence to internal quality assurance procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
  • Strong experience compiling O&M manuals and managing project close-out documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
