- Description
Our client is a highly successful Global manufacturing and construction business operating in the high end stone and marble market. Due to continued success and expansion they are on the lookout for a Procurement & Logistics Managerto join their office in Carrara, Italy.
The ideal candidate will have considerable procurement and logistics management experience working with manufacturers (stone, steel, mining and other construction related suppliers would be considered).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the whole procurement process from A-Z.
- Implementing and improving procurement systems and processes.
- Coordination with the quarries, factories and international project teams.
- Managing the document control procedures.
- In charge of expediting.
- Oversee quality control and assurance.
A high level of responsibility will be given; therefore a conscientious and enthusiastic approach is essential. You will need to be assertive, self-motivated, outgoing and capable of advising solutions to logistical challenges on a global scale.
The successful candidate must be a fluent English and Italian speaker.
