- This is an urgent requirement for an experienced HSE Manager to become involved on a major Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project, located in Mozambique.
Our Client is one of the largest and best known International Contractors operating globally. They are responsible for delivering some of the most prestigious industrial, power and civil engineering projects in Africa and the Middle East over the last 50 years.
Following the recent award of a major LNG Project in Mozambique, the company are looking to appoint an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to help ensure the safe and successful delivery of the project.
Reporting to the HSE Director you will be responsible forthe day to day operations of the HSE department. Managing the HSE programs to prevent injuries or health impairment, to contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management, to ensure that all project employees understand their individual responsibilities towards Heath, Safety, and Environmental protection, according to the Group’s HSE policies and procedures and adhere to them.
Experience Required:
- 15+ years’ experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a HSE Manager capacity.
- Experience working on large Liquified Natural Gas projects.
- Strong experience working with large civil contractors.
- Fluent in English language.
- Portuguese language is advantageous, but is not a prerequisite.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters Degree would be advantageous).
- NEBOSH Diploma / NEBOSH IGCI / OHSAS 18001 Management system/Environmental Management System ISO 14001/Risk management/Health, Safety, and Environmental Technical Courses/Managerial courses/Safety Specialist/ OSHA course.
