An experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager is required to join a rapidly fit out and refurbishment company.
The ideal Project Manager will be able to show a commitment to the future success of the company and be willing to carry the unique culture and philosophy.
Role
Reporting to Contracts Manager you will have proven experience as a successful Project Manager with experience in the design and build sector. You should have worked on projects with a value between £1m-£8m. You should be confident at dealing with people and possess the skills to communicate confidently and effectively with end user clients and consultants.
Your preferred IT skills will be Microsoft Office,Asta Powerproject.
Key Responsibilities
Pre construction
• Contribute to potential enquiries by presenting the company to the client in a professional, intelligent and enthusiastic manner
• Support at estimating stage with programme and methodology
• Produce and maintain programme of works
• Attending pre contract interviews with the team
• Ensure with project surveyor that the work content of each project is quickly established and let by the appropriate time in order not to cause unnecessary delays on site. Ensure that the site project team is aware of the supply chain content on each project and that they are aware when it was to be let and to whom.
• Undertake a risk review with his site team ideally prior to the project commencement and review these risks at each weekly meeting
• Review the project with our project team on a weekly basis covering:-
o Design information (to and from)
o Supply Chain
o Project risks
o Supply chain awards
o Programme
o Commissioning / service issues
o Handover
• Ensure that all work is executed inline with statutory regulations as well as the company’s health and safety, environmental and QA procedures
• Ensure the sites reflect core values in health & safety environmental and brand
• Live the core values and portraying these values on a day to day basis with clients / work colleagues and supply chain alike
Operation Management
• Be able to efficiently plan the delivery of the project from the initial enquiry and manage the project with the bid team from that point.
• Chair progress and co-ordination meetings with sub contractors and professional team
• Add value to the site managers including services manager throughout the project duration. Equally add value to design team in buildability and innovative approaches and techniques.
• Professionally manage all subcontractors in a commercially accepted manner.
• Ensuring with surveying staff that we deliver our minimum contribution on all projects
• Monitor day-to-day progress in relation to programme
• Manage and monitor information flow
• Sign off systems commissioned for handover to professional team
• Production of handover documentation – Operation and Maintenance manuals
• Handover of systems to client
• Manage, maintain and monitor quality at all times
• Manage, maintain and monitor Health & Safety on site at all times
• Manage and log the ordering of site plants and returns
People Management
• Ensure problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently
• Provide clear leadership to your project teams delegate responsibilities in line with the ability of the staff. At all times provide a highly motivational and inspirational environment
• Agree and monitor challenging but achievable targets for both project teams and individuals. Ensure clear communications between all team members and the client team
• Encourage open discussion
• Encourage the use of a working style that is in line with the company culture

• Always look to improve the service, systems and client interaction

Site Emergencies
• Should we have a site emergencyi.e.health and safety, environmental, flood, fire, incident with public on site contact the Contracts Director without delay to avoid him finding out about a problem indirectly
