- Description
- This traditional main contractor is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor.
The role specification is as follows;
- Must have experience working as the H&S advisor for a main contractor
- Must be able to complete H&S audits for various new build and refurbishment projects to the average value of 3m per project
- Requirement to complete audits for projects based nationally but most projects are in London and surrounding counties
- General HSQE support and advice
- Attend meetings as required
- Assistance with tender quality bids for inclusion in our tender submissions
- Advice and Creation of company procedures and policies
- Annual audits of business office
- Assistance and completion of internal training
- Complete Site visits and give guidance to the site teams for suitable completion of the works
- Advice on Temporary works requirements and act as company designated individual for temporary works
- Accident & incident investigations and reports as required to comply with legislation
- Assist and advise on HSE visits, reporting and actions
- Assistance & advice with subcontractor RAMs information when required
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current and new health and safety legislation
- Advice on Training requirements for staff and operatives on site
As well as a competitive salary the package includes the following:
- Package Allowance: 5k per annum – car maintenance costs, private pension scheme, etc
- Holidays – 22 days annual leave allowance and 8 bank holidays = 30 days total plus Business closes at Xmas and staff given days off as good will gesture from the company which is not taken from holiday allocation

- Work Equipment: Supplied as necessary to complete role
- Hours of Work: 8am-5pm – but requirement to work out of hours as the project requires
