- Description
- This long established joinery company who operate in North London require an experienced Joinery Manager. They have a reputation which is second to none in producing bespoke joinery and furniture for high end residential projects.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards of health and safety practice in accordance with statue and company health and safety policy and the project safety requirements.
- Have working knowledge of workshop health & safety requirements, promote the safe wellbeing of all staff and any visitors into the workshop environment.
- Be able to directly manage departmental Foremen and Team Leaders to ensure Health and Safety and legislation requirements are adhered to.
- Making the best use of resources, time and capital to ensure effective, efficient and economic productivity levels;
- Have a full knowledge and understanding of all aspects of joinery manufacture and production.
- A working knowledge of all aspects of workshop equipment, tools, machines and safety equipment.
- Support the workshop team in manufacture and delivery of manufactured goods to the required time and quality using safe practices.
- The ability to modify workshop throughput to suit unexpected joinery orders;
- Management of the department's budget as directed by the Director.
- Preparation of reports and analysis of programmes as required
- Ordering materials through buyer to ensure delivery schedules are met;
- Have input into weekly production programme and highlight any resource issues.
- Highlight any foreseeable slack periods or areas where over-committed.
- Have expert knowledge of joinery production and continuously seeks improvements
- Be confident and experienced in dealing with any attendance issues, disciplinary matters and production staff matters arising.
