- Description
- An established and progressive facade contractor are looking to recruit a Design Manager to operate out of its Regional office. From a facade contracting background, you will have demonstrable experience in the co-ordination of projects up to £10m in value.
The roles and responsibilities will include:
- Be the focal point of all design issues throughout the Project.
- Liaise with the Client on all design matters to ensure his objectives are met.
- Establish the Project’s design information requirements.
- Appoint and mange the Design Team to ensure design information is produced in accordance with the project timescales.
- Ensure the quality, adequacy and accuracy of design information produced.
- Audit the design for buildability, compliance with the Clients requirements , and cost effectiveness.
- Set up and manage an accurate and effective document control system.
- Assess design risks and implement measures to minimise these risks to the
- Propose and assess design implications of value management solutions and ensure incorporation into the scheme if proved beneficial to the Project.
- Ensure the Design Team’s obligations are fulfilled under CDM.
