- Description
- A main contractor are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team managing sites in and around the M25.
This Quantity Surveyor position will involve commercial management of including managing all procurement, valuation, contractual and commercial issues and formulating strategies for control of the projects and enhancement of final margins.
What you will deliver
- Managing a number of projects for a local authority client
- Working on social housing
- Carrying out regeneration external works including windows and doors, fabric works, high spec mechanical and electrical, roofing and PV
- Take ownership of all aspects of each project under your control from pre construction phase to completion
- Liaison with the client and contract administrator on both a formal and informal basis
- Direct involvement and influence with the client and design team working towards decarbonisation
The Quantity Surveyor Role:
Ensuring effective management of main contract and subcontract accounts through to final account including ensuring proper procedures are in place for preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations and dealing with contractual matters,
Managing production of internal management reports including cost value reconciliations, profit plans and cash flow projections at regular intervals.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have experience of successfully managing the commercial aspects of decent homes schemes with a main contractor with values of £1m+.
An ability to form effective working relationships with staff and with external consultants, subcontractors and suppliers will be essential.
