The Position

The ideal candidate must have senior management experience within the contract catering, wholesale and equipment sectors. Exposure to sales, marketing and tendering for different types of contracts is required. Public relations with clients are an essential function as well as experience in a broad range of food and beverage operations; this should include quality assurance and the management of a multi-national workforce.

Job Description:

• Previous experience in a senior management role within the catering sector.
• Proven experience in sales, marketing, and tendering for various catering contracts.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, particularly for special events.
• Ability to engage with clients across diverse industrial sectors.
• Expertise in managing a workforce of over 200 employees from different nationalities.
• Hands-on experience with quality assurance in food service operations.
• Skilled in identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities while tracking progress.
• Financial acumen, including both operational and accounting perspectives.
• Capability to source alternative suppliers and products to optimize operations.
• Ability to thrive in a competitive market environment.
• In-depth knowledge of food hygiene regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial statements, including balance sheets.
• Experience in designing and developing kitchen layouts.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Background in wholesale and retail sales of food and non-food products.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is highly advantageous.
