Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Manager to oversee our operations in Manama, Bahrain. As the Division Manager for the building materials business, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our factories in Bahrain. You will play a crucial role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, quality assurance, maintenance, and sales/business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage profit and loss for the assigned factories, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Provide oversight of day-to-day operations, including production, logistics, quality control, and maintenance.
- Lead a team of approximately 200 indirect reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and product innovation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in the Middle East, with a deep understanding of the regional business landscape and cultural nuances.
- Proven track record of success in a similar capacity within a large building materials company. Exposure to precast concrete operations would be advantageous.
- Sales management experience would be advantageous, although a commercially astute operations background will also be considered.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Suitably qualified in a relevant discipline.
