- Description
- A major and long established contracting company is now looking to recruit a Quality Advisor. The majority of time will be spent visiting / inspecting the sites, covering southern home counties. The purpose of the role is to constructively engage with employees to ensure that they are following the correct processes and have the right tools and skills to deliver ‘defect-free’ handovers.
This role could also suit a Site Manager who wishes to move into a different role as this role has transferable skills.
Objectives
Be the voice of the customer; obsess about quality and ensure the customer is always heard.
Work collaboratively with their people to drive the Right-First-Time, Every-Time agenda and provide proactive support and advice that ensures the satisfaction of their customers and their people.
Ensure the company quality standards are understood, set, measured and maintained.
Deliver efficient and targeted inspection processes that identify and share areas of concern and areas of excellent practice.
Take prompt, firm and fair action when these standards slip and provide recognition where due.
Engage with and help to train their people so that they have the right skills to deliver ‘entirely defect-free’ handovers.
Champion quality and customer service by providing proactive support and advice that helps their people deliver ‘defect-free’ handovers.
Promote and sponsor recognition schemes and awards where excellence has been achieved.
Inspire others to identify causes of defects and come up with ways and means of minimising them and share their learning.
Share best practice with LCOs and other Company Central Teams and ensure this is embedded
Inspire others to help achieve the above objectives, in particular through site inspections
Embed all of the above with their supply chain. Engage with their designers to share knowledge.

100% customer satisfaction score in previous 12 months
10% annual reduction of defects
Feedback from Director (Quality Improvement)
% Defect free handovers as per company targets
Site inspections scores > 80%.
Be prepared to stop activities that are incorrect.
Skills gaps identified and addressed.
Training delivered in a timely manner.
Training delivers pre-agreed outcomes.
Feedback from customers and LCOs.
100% projects completed defect free on time
Help develop recognition schemes/awards.
Use of Black Box learning, workshops and knowledge sharing platforms/forums.

Quarterly reports
High performing scores of team members.
