This traditional main contractor is looking for a Small Works Manager to join their organisation. As a well established business, they consistently aim to be leaders in building relationships with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers alike.
The appointed candidate will play a major role in managing key construction contracts.
The role specification is as follows;
- Must have experience working on multiple projects simultaneously within the commercial sector and with projects ranging from £100 to £250k
- Must have experience in client facing role invoicing scheduling of projects, preparing quotations and mobilising projects and seeing them through to completion
- Must have a relevant management degree or similar training and or experience
- Must have experience working on traditional and design and build contracts under a JCT contract
- Must be able to manage others to deliver multiple projects at the same time
- Must be a good communicator and have experience dealing with clients and subcontractors
- Must have good IT skills and be able to use word and outlook (Emails)
- Must be able to produce construction programmes
- Must have a flexible, “can do” attitude and want to work as part of a team
- Must be able to produce and deliver progress reports
- Must be able to manage the H&S, quality and programme performance on their projects via their management team
- Desirable: Client Contact list for future works
- Desirable: Supplier/Subcontractor Contact list for future works
- Desirable: Previous experience building long lasting client relationships
