- This successful traditional main contractor is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy department.
Job Description
- Manage all aspects of purchase ledger
- AP reconciliations
- Weekly supplier payments, emailing remittances there after
- Manage invoice queries with suppliers
- Monitor accounts & own email inbox
Person
- Ability to handle volume for purchase ledger
- Sound demonstratable knowledge of Construction Industry scheme
- Good IT skills including advanced level for Excel
- Experience in Sage essential
- Working within a similar role within the construction industry would be highly desirable
- Excellent organisation skills with understanding of discretion and responsibility for important documents
- Ability to deliver accurate quality work to deadlines and to required standards
- Consistent performance under pressure
- A very organised and capable approach to the workplace and a willingness to take responsibility of own workload
- The ability to work under pressure towards tight deadlines.
- A can do and positive attitude.
This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out within the role and identifies the level of responsibility but not limited to. The position may also require other duties which are to be carried out from time to time
Holidays – 22 days annual leave allowance and 8 bank holidays = 30 days total plus Business closes at Xmas and staff given days off as good will gesture from the company which is not taken from holiday allocation
Pension: Auto enrolment pension scheme
Hours of Work: 8am-5pm – but requirement to work out of hours as the position requires
