A fast-growing, design-led firm specializing in high-end furniture and interiors is seeking a Millwork Drafter / Drafting Manager to lead the production of detailed technical drawings for custom architectural millwork and interior elements. Based in Miami, the company combines design excellence with expert craftsmanship to deliver bespoke pieces for luxury residential and hospitality projects.

In this role, you will manage and produce shop drawings, oversee internal and external drafting resources, and ensure that all drawing output is precise, fabrication-ready, and aligned with the design vision. This is an opportunity to apply your deep technical knowledge in a creatively ambitious studio where accuracy, constructability, and beauty go hand in hand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, review, and manage high-quality shop drawings and fabrication documentation for custom millwork and furniture
  • Lead the drafting process from initial design intent to installation-ready packages
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, fabricators, designers, architects, and installers
  • Manage internal drafting resources and external consultants to meet deadlines and uphold quality
  • Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, construction codes, and millwork standards
  • Solve complex detailing challenges and contribute to overall production efficiency and constructability

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in millwork drafting or detailing for high-end interiors or custom furniture
  • Mastery of Chief Architect and 20/20 Design Software; AutoCAD and SketchUp are a plus
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, joinery methods, and construction techniques
  • Experience working directly with fabricators, contractors, and design professionals
  • Excellent drawing review skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience managing a drafting team or external consultants is a plus

Why Join?

  • Join a company known for delivering exceptional design-driven interiors and custom furniture
  • Take ownership of the drafting function on highly creative and technically ambitious projects
  • Collaborate with a passionate, quality-focused team that values design integrity and precision
  • Work on some of the most unique interior projects in the luxury space
