- Description
- Our client is a dynamic design and build contractor specialising in new build high end residential and part commercial developments.
Typically there projects have values of circa £10m and all entail the provision of multi storey RC frame construction with a variety of cladding façade finishes. Internally the projects are fitted out to high end specification complimented with complex services packages to complete the fit out.
Role:
They are currently recruiting for Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible on focusing on delivery of low cost supply chain solutions and strategies to assist in winning tenders and project delivery. Also, to improve supplier performance, generate savings and significantly reduce cost and business risk.
Ideally you will have the following:- Ideally you will be a Supply Chain professional with a construction background who has a proven track record in delivering significant cost savings and value creation.
- Experienced in developing and delivery of supply chain strategies at tender winning and project delivery phases.
- Proven experience in procuring complex sub-contract.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with relevant internal (QS and Project Managers) and external stakeholders
- The ability to multi task across projects reacting quickly to ensure timely delivery where needed
- Demonstrable experience of delighting stakeholders by exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of customer requirements, technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency.
- Good planning skills to liaise with project teams and business streams to understand project requirements and develop schedules into project procurement plans
- Analytical skills, measured approach to decision making, highly competent in supplier selection and evaluation
- Strong negotiation skills, strong contractual and commercial competence
- Enthusiastic team player, strong communicator, highly customer focused
- The ability to operate under pressure and to meet tight and demanding deadlines is essential.
