- Our Client is a highly successful construction company with their reputation stamped firmly on some of the largest projects built within the region over the past thirty years. Due to continued success and the award of a number of major contracts, the company is looking to appoint someone to head up the Commercial/Contracts Department.
You will be ultimately responsible for coordinating all commercial elements of contracts with suppliers, customers and sub contractors, including management of receivables, claims and arbitration cases.
You will be responsible for staff within the Project Control, Quantity Surveying and Tendering departments and will need to ensure team members carry out tasks defined within their area of responsibility.
The successful candidate must be degree qualified in a related field (ie. Quantity Surveying or Engineering), and preferably supported by a Masters. Candidates must have 15+ years of experience working with Main Contractors, with a minimum of 8+ years in Contracts and Commercial management.
Prior overseas experience, particularly in the Middle East, is an important pre-requisite. Previous experience working in Oman would an advantage.
The position is offered on either a single, married or family status basis. The expat package on offer for this position is robust.
