Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead and develop the technical function across both ready-mix and precast concrete operations in Bahrain. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will play a critical part in ensuring product quality, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction across all concrete activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage concrete mix designs in line with relevant national and international standards
• Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate testing, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Maintain and optimise plant and production data systems
• Manage relationships with raw material suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and performance
• Provide technical support to customers, including contractors and consultants
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support business growth and project delivery
• Produce regular technical and performance reports for senior management

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the Technical Department, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maintaining compliance with external quality accreditations. This includes leadership across health & safety, team development, recruitment, training, resource management, and cross-department coordination.

You will also act as a key technical advisor to consulting engineers and contractors, offering guidance on specifications and helping to proactively resolve or prevent technical issues and disputes.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role within ready-mix and precast concrete operations
• Suitably qualified, ideally to degree level with additional recognised qualifications in concrete technology or engineering (e.g. professional memberships)
• Strong working knowledge of European and American concrete standards and quality management systems
• Experience liaising with regulatory bodies and handling formal technical documentation
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present technical data (including Excel) to non-technical stakeholders
• High level of computer literacy and technical problem-solving capability

• In-depth understanding of concrete materials, production methods, and applications
• Experience working on major, complex projects, ideally within the Gulf region
• Familiarity with regional working practices, environments, and cultural considerations
• Confident leadership style with experience in structured, performance-driven organisations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
