- Description
- Our Client is probably one of the best known contractors operating throughout the Middle East. They have recently been awarded a number of multi-million pound building and civil engineering projects in major cities across Saudi Arabia.
They are now looking for an accomplished individual to join the senior management team who has a proven track record delivering major construction projects at a corporate/strategic level.
Your responsibilities will include:- Verify and monitor cost control and planning activities
- Establish risk management practices to be followed by projects teams and control compliance to risk management practices and coach teams to use them
- Monitor and report to CEO & board to ensure compliance
- Keep standard operating procedures up-to-date and documented in the systems
- Deliver transformative business and operational strategy solutions to quantify business risks and opportunities in order to develop strategy and recommendations
- Maintain current risk profile of the company and identify processes in conjunction with operations and support systems to effectively mitigate overall risk
- Establish strong and collaborative partnerships with key business leaders, project managers and subject matter experts to identify specific business opportunities or to address business needs or problems and help build effective solutions
- Develop and maintains all risk management policies and procedures, organizational-related safety information, processes, initiatives
- Manage the financial operations pertaining to Risk Management including budgeting, forecasting, premium allocation, audits and invoice payments
- Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating the initiation of investigative procedures
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance
- Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
The ideal candidate will have:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management or related field
- Highly analytical with demonstrable administrative/managerial experience
- Experience, certification or academic focus in re-engineering or root-cause analysis (e.g. Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Six Sigma Black belt)
- Experience or strong understanding of technical development and process development methodologies such as Agile, Method I, Six Sigma Design
- Experience developing process management metrics
- Able to communicate effectively with partners in Operations, Decision Science and Technologies
- Able to articulate concrete, complete and concise requirements to describe needed fixes for non-conformance
- Understanding of Operational Risk infrastructure, Corrective Action timelines, key Risk systems and Compliance
- Ability to design and present reported findings to leadership (e.g. dashboard)
- Experience with SAS or SQL
