- Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the environment and promoting sustainability within the construction industry? Our client are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Coordinator to join a well established main contractor.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies:
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability into all aspects of construction projects.
- Create and implement sustainable construction practices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and BREEAM standards.

Energy and Resource Management:
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and resource conservation.
- Advise on the selection of eco-friendly materials and technologies, aligning with BREEAM criteria.
- Engagement:

- Foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to promote sustainable practices.
- Provide guidance to internal and external teams on sustainable construction methodologies in line with BREEAM requirements.

Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish monitoring systems to track sustainability metrics, including those specified by BREEAM.
- Generate regular reports on the environmental performance of projects, adhering to BREEAM reporting standards.

Education and Training:
- Conduct training sessions to raise awareness of sustainability practices among staff, emphasizing BREEAM principles.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, especially those endorsed by BREEAM, to continuously improve sustainability initiatives.
- Proven experience in a sustainability role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, green building standards, and expertise in BREEAM.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and drive change toward sustainable practices.
