- Description
- A successful International Commercial Stone Contracting Firm are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their office in Manhattan. The company’s projects comprise of casinos, hotels and other high end residential and commercial style projects.
Following the recent award of numerous contracts, the firm are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be responsible for the financial, risk and commercial management of various projects for the firm on a national scale.
The position will involve preparation of various documents and reports including estimates, contracts and data, whilst interpreting and checking other relevant information and documentation. Liaising with the accounting departments and reporting to the Global Executive Vice President will also play an important part, whilst handling cash flow, ensuring project follow ups and carrying out various types of analysis relevant to the sites’ progress. The Commercial Manager should consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods in order to deliver the best result.
The ideal candidate must have- Degree in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or comparable with a minimum of 10 year’s commercial construction, stone contracting or fit out experience on large commercial projects. RCIS qualification will be highly regarded.
- A strong dynamic negotiator with proven leadership skills and high energy levels is essential to fit the culture of this firm.
- Must have legal rights to work in the USA.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Estimation proprietary software.
- Should have knowledge of site execution and methods, fixed price, re-measure, etc. and also have experience in different measurement types.
- Should have knowledge of various practices of Claims procedures and be familiar with all aspects of stone fabrication and fit out works.
The salary and package offered is entirely negotiable, depending on experience.
