Description

Our client is an established and growing construction business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career with a well-established contractor offering long-term stability in education, healthcare and commercial projects.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the operational team, clients and supply chain to ensure projects are delivered profitably and effectively.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of projects from contract award through to completion
  • Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and cost reports
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor applications, variations and final accounts
  • Managing valuations, payment applications and cash flow
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Preparing and submitting variations and loss and expense claims
  • Monitoring project costs against budgets and forecasts
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Site Teams
  • Assisting with contractual matters and ensuring compliance with the relevant contract
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts
  • Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting to senior management

They are looking for someone who is commercially astute, organised and confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Salary up to £60,000 plus car / allowance
