Top 5 Main Contractor responsible for successfully delivering iconic building and infrastructure projects across Canada with a turnover in excess of C$3 billion.
Position:
This is an important position with one of the region’s leading contractors who are engaged on a number of large scale projects throughout Vancouver and the British Columbia area.
The company is looking to appoint a Commercial Director who will be involved in projects from pre-construction through to handover. This is a new role for the group and has come about due to the changing market conditions and the considerable volume of work being tendered for and awarded.
Projects being targeted are typically up to C$500m in value and include hospitals, education, commercial and transportation. Contract types are mainly construction management and design and build.
Requirements:
- Preferably Degree or Diploma qualified in relevant discipline.
- Experience working for Tier 1 main contractors as a Commercial Director / Commercial Manager on large design and build construction projects.
- Previous experience working in Canada or Internationally would be an advantage, although this is not a pre-requisite.
