- As a Quantity Surveyor you will be part of a pitch and flat roof subcontractor.Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful Quantity Surveyor will have responsibility for all commercial aspects on a number of projects particularly income and expenditure to maximise profit margins and monitor budgets.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Preparation of project budgets, checking projects contracts, administering projects Contracts. Typical projects between £500k - £1.5m.2. Measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances.3. Preparation of tender documents for any sub contract works and specialist suppliers.4. Ensure an awareness of key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions with the client. Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention monies are released when due.5. Prepare and discuss the final account for projects. Negotiate and agree final accounts.ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor at intermediate or senior level.2.
